Photojournalism and Weddings

We couldn’t stomach the idea of being posed repeatedly with my dress fanned out in front of me, bouquet propped just so, on a hot day, while our cocktail hour went on in full force without us. We didn’t want to fritter away for hours with various family combinations, taking pictures we knew were important, but that we would hate. Then we met Angela Cappetta. She is the only photographer we met, trained in new york wedding photojournalism who actually PROMISED us a photo itinerary of the day, complete with a shoot script, names, relationships to every person in that shot, and a timeline. She guaranteed that, as long as everyone cooperated, we’d be done with the formal shots in under 45 minutes. She was right. Now that the day has passed, we have an album chocked full of tons of gorgeous candids, and the select family shots that actually mean a lot to us. I am convinced that photo journalism is the best way to go, and that Angela is the best artist to provide it.

I for one forget this fact when sending my grandmother a thank you card and she was very offended. When writing the card I simply told her that I appreciated the gift but apparently, she requires much more than this when she sends someone a gift. I was unaware that she wanted a full detailed description of how I felt about the sweater she gave me and when and where I planned to wear it. She also wanted to know how many compliments I received while I wore this magnificent piece of cloth.

Finding a wedding photographer

Now we’re starting to make plans and are on the look out for a Wedding Photographer and other vendors. It may actually work out to our benefit since there are so many talented people available and they are offering all sorts of specials and stimulus packages. The photographers we are looking at are great and they of course are almost booked up. I’m confident we’ll get the one we want though and at a reasonable price.
