Post and Beam Coolness
February 15, 2010 on 3:14 am | By admin | In HomeI have had our house plans set up and ready to be approved for months now and I just haven’t had the money to get them done by a good enough contractor. But, now that I haven’t gotten it done yet I’m thinking I am going to make a few changes. Big changes. I was originally going to make our home out of timber frame, but I am thinking I am going to make it a post and beam home. I’m thinking it will be a lot more money but when I get my house plans approved I will be able to work on it and get the loan I need.

A Lft Master Garage Door Opener Was the Choice When Security Was at Stake
February 14, 2010 on 3:55 am | By admin | In HomeWhen we bought a big house in a rural area our style of living changed. The first thing we realized was that we would need an automatic garage opener if we were going to deal with the huge door we had. As we shopped around we found that we could have our door opener and a security system, all in one, by installing a lift master garage door opener. We have motion detectors, a keyless fingerprint entry system, and sound sensors. There is even a n option to turn on the lights or heat before we get home. One door opener system solved a long list of problems.

Gutters to Downspout
February 13, 2010 on 4:02 am | By admin | In HomeTo collect water streaming off the roof, vinyl rain gutters need to be placed so that the roof’s edge is over the middle of the gutter. The gutter is also slanted towards the downspout so the water can be directed away from the house. The downspout should point to a sloped area like a driveway to help drain the water away. The gutters come in 10 foot sections so you will want to accurately measure the roof to know how many pieces to order. Mounting brackets or hangers need to be installed every 24 inches, and here again accurate measurement will help you determine how many to order.
Cookbooks and Dutch Ovens
February 13, 2010 on 3:16 am | By admin | In HomeMy husband got me a ton of cookbooks for my birthday last May. I am pretty sure that was his not so subtle way of telling me that my cooking needs some serious improvement. I finally decided to sit down and see if there were any recipes that I could actually follow. There were quite a few that interested me, but they all needed to be cooked in a dutch oven. I had no clue what one was. So, I went online and found a site that sold them. I decided to buy a le creuset dutch oven right then and there. I’m looking forward to some new cooking experiences.
What Are Corner Bath Tubs For?
February 12, 2010 on 10:41 am | By admin | In HomeMost of the time the bathtub is located in a section of the bathroom flush with one of the walls and covers three sides with tile and either a shower door or curtain rod for hanging a curtain. This is the most popular bathtub configuration, often designed as a shower/tub combination. Lately, however, more people are choosing the Corner Bath Tubs because they both look and feel more free from constriction of walls and can be set up as taller soaking tubs that allow you to take a more luxurious bath almost sitting up like your in a spa or jacuzzi!
