I should probably be a lot more computer savvy since I am back at school, and an online school for that matter. But the truth of the matter is, if it is not about the school curriculum and their websites then I really do have a hard time navigating around the Internet. One of my online friends in a class though recommended that I check out the valore books promo code and I was astonished with how easy it would be to sell back books. What was even more promising is that the website was easy to navigate through and get things done.

I never thought that I would have the opportunity to travel to Spain and stay there for a few months until I had graduated from college. It did not occur to me for some reason that I could study abroad.  When my advisor suggested that I take spanish courses in seville, I had a light bulb moment.  Of course, that was the perfect solution!  My advisor told me of a great program that will allow me to take Spanish courses in addition to my regular school work. Hopefully, by the time I am done with my trip, I will be fluent in Spanish!

A Great Life

It’s never an easy thing when you are dealing with the death of a loved one.  If you are planning on writing a eulogy him or her it’s a good idea to follow a particular style or theme.  Choosing a certain style makes it easier on you.  One style for example is a tribute.  A tribute is similar to what obituaries in the newspapers use.  If you write a tribute you will primarily focus on his or her achievements and accomplishments.  This is a good way for others to understand the amazing things that he or she did in a great life.

The password issue that cost me time and energy that no one sees coming.

May 30, 2010 on 2:13 am | By admin | In Reference and Education

I had an email account at work and using this work email account I had signed up for an online movie renting website. After I found a new job I put in my resignation to the place I worked that I had the email account. They deleted my email account making my username email for the online movie renting website stop working. This just goes to show that you should only use a work email for work. In this case it ended up costing me some time on the phone and a few bucks but I can imagine that giving certain circumstances that it could be a lot more hassle then it was for me. I ended up having to change aol password aswell. I would recommend after this experience not to use a work email for anything personal. I know my old boss didn’t do this to me on purpose but make sure you read your company policy to protect yourself in case an issue such as this occurs.

Graduate Citation

May 28, 2010 on 4:02 am | By admin | In Reference and Education

I’ve seen some universities offering graduate citations. While it sounds like something you’d get for exceeding the speed limit, it’s actually more like a mini graduate degree. Graduate degrees at the Masters level generally require 30 to a 100 credit hours of study. A graduate citation on the other hand will often require 10 to 20 credit hours.

This is often a much more manageable chunk of education and that the classes are focused on a specific subject it can be a very valuable way to show your mastery of new techniques, skills and research without putting in the large time investment required to attain a Masters degree.

While a citation isn’t as impressive as a full master’s degree on your resume, it still can add significant value in the job market. Particularly if the citation comes from a prestigious university. It shows you were able to study at that university and successfully complete the program. Even if it wasn’t a masters degree, this can help impress potential employers.

Of course beyond just impressing employers  you want to make sure that you are acquiring valuable skills that will make you much better at your job.  The certificate can be very instrumental in this process. Once again a well-known university with respected teachers can be a great benefit in not only teaching you to subject matter, but helping you develop your professional network.

More Than Just Textbooks

May 17, 2010 on 3:03 am | By admin | In Reference and Education

I never buy college textbooks without first looking for a Textbookx promotional code. They offer these deals periodically, and the codes often make their already low prices even lower. And they sell more than just textbooks, too. You can also buy reference books and dictionaries from them, as well as other books to help you study. In fact, they even sell general reading books, cookbooks, self help books, and children’s books! I always go to them first whenever I am looking for any book, no matter what it is. You would be surprised at how much they have to offer, even if you are not a college student.
