A Broken Chimney Damper

For some reason our house was not keeping the temperature even and our heating bills were up 25%. We were shocked and very frustrated. We had our windows and doors checked and could not seem to find the area that was causing the problem. It wasn’t until we had our chimney cleaned that we discovered it was the damper. Our chimney damper was badly in need of replacing and definitely was the culprit. Once it was replaced our heating bills went right back down.
