Home Owners Insurance Quote — Do Not Buy Coverage For Your House Plus The Land

December 29, 2009 on 4:11 pm | By admin | In Home | Comments Off

It is more expensive but needless to insure the land on which your home is built (More so if you would like to attract a truly affordable home owners insurance quote). People do this ignorantly. You have made the same mistake if you insured your house for the price you bought it without finding out the cost of the land it’s standing on and deducting it.

If you did such ignorantly, you’ll have to re-evaluate your home insurance coverage and check it again with your agent. Subtract the value of your land and use only the cost of your house and its contents. Doing this will lower your premiums by a huge margin and still leave with sufficient home insurance coverage. No matter what you do and who you meet, bear it in mind that the only things you insure are things that can be lost or damaged and your land is not one of such.
