Is a Tactical Investment Strategy Right?

April 24, 2010 on 4:58 am | By admin | In Investing | Comments Off

There has been a few posts elsewhere about the concept of tactical investment strategy and whether it is the right approach to take with an investment portfolio. Unless the individual investor is highly qualified to find and choose the right market sectors where the “growth” is expected to happen, a tactical approach (which involves shifting assets from one sector or asset class to another as the opportunities run out in one area and, coincidentally, present themselves in others), then a tactical strategy is actually riskier than taking a buy and hold, high risk investment.

For most investors, sticking to a strategic investment strategy makes more sense.
