Other organized religions and civilizations likewise have religious schools analogous to Western Seminaries. The Islamic and Jewish equivalents to a Christian seminary are known as Madrasa and Yeshiva, respectively. Seminaries nowadays provide a large variety of courses of study and formats for scholars who are not intending to get into full-time Christian ministry. seminary college instruction has become democratized. There are online programs, weekend classes, and cohort-based grades. There are different plans designed for students who will not enter orthodox professions like the pastorship upon commencement. And there are satellite colleges and other untraditional settings that permit students to go to seminary without having to relocate or to change their life styles.
