A Eulogy by a Son for the Mother He Barely Knew

The old lady had lived a quiet, reclusive life in a rather run-down trailer park for as long as anyone could remember. No one knew where she came from or to whom she belonged. How sad it is that we take so little time to get to know those we consider less interesting. When she didn’t pick up her mail for several days, some one became suspicious. She had passed away sitting at the table, writing a weakly scrawled letter to her son, the lawyer. What kind of eulogy will this man give to a mother he ignored? I think a very precious life probably vanished from here because it was so little appreciated. A lesson for us all.
